BC Best of the Best – Spring Tryouts 2026

The BC Best of the Best program is bringing together top young talent from across the province for a unique and highly competitive summer showcase event.

To create equal opportunity for athletes across British Columbia, we are hosting regional spring tryouts so players can compete locally and earn a spot representing their zone team.

Program Overview

Regional-based tryouts across BC
Players compete within their home zone
Selected athletes represent their zone in a Best of the Best summer event
Designed to identify, develop, and showcase top-tier talent

Tryout Structure

Tryouts begin June 2026
Each location features multiple ice times
Players attend based on residential zone eligibility

Zone Breakdown & Locations

Zone 1 – Langley Region

Location: Langley Sportsplex

Eligible Areas:

Langley, Aldergrove, Surrey, Cloverdale

Tryout Dates:

June 20 & 21
Ice Times: 9:00 AM & 1:00 PM

Zone 2 – Coquitlam Region

Location: Planet Ice Coquitlam

Eligible Areas:

Coquitlam, Burnaby, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Ridge Meadows

Tryout Dates:

June 27 & 28
Ice Times: 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM

Zone 3 – Delta / Vancouver Region

Location: Planet Ice Delta

Eligible Areas:

Vancouver, Delta (North & South), New Westminster, White Rock, Richmond

Tryout Dates:

June 27 & 28
Ice Times: 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM

Zone 4 – North Shore / Sea-to-Sky

Location: Canlan North Shore

Eligible Areas:

North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, Sechelt

Tryout Dates:

June 20: 4:45 PM
June 21: 9:30 AM & 2:30 PM

Zone 5 – Fraser Valley

Location: Abbotsford Summit Centre

Eligible Areas:

Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Hope, Washington State residents

Tryout Dates:

June 20 & 21
Ice Times: 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM

Zone 6 – Interior / Okanagan / Kootenay

Location: Kelowna

Eligible Areas:

South Okanagan, Thompson Region, Cariboo, Interior, Kootenays

Tryout Dates:

July 4 & 5
Ice Times: 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM
